About Me
I’m thrilled in your interest in Steph’s Way, LLC. I’ve had the pleasure of working for the State of CT as an officer, as well as a Criminal Justice Professor at both the University of New Haven and Post University in Waterbury, CT. I’ve been a professor for several years and I continue to love my career. I teach Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Corrections, Community Based Corrections, Criminology Theory, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure I, Transgender in Corrections, Race, Ethics, and Crime, Research Methods, and Human Trafficking.
I’m also a speaker for the Upward Bound Program at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Upward Bound assists in federally funded college preparatory programs for high school students from low-income communities to be the first in their family to graduate from college with a Bachelor Degree. I’m a certified Battered Woman’s Counselor, Trauma Counselor and a certified Victims Advocate specializing in Family Violence, Human Trafficking, Child Bullying, Cyber Bullying, Workplace Violence, and Transgender Specific within Corrections. I’m also a former member of the Bridgeport Police Gun Violence Initiative Program.
I have earned an Associate’s Degree in General Studies, Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Magna Cum Laude, and a Master’s Degree in Education with a Minor in Organizational Leadership.
